Can anybody help with cyberlink?

I got cyberlink dvd suite free with a new laptop installed on the harddrive. I want to create a movie from clips from a digital camera, put the clips togerther and add music and edit. I did all this and it looked great on the laptop. I cannot burn it to DVD which is what I want to do. I want to burn it to a DVD disc and then use the disc either in a computer or preferably a TV with a dvd attached. I think I need to upgrade but am baffled. I have searched on the cyberlink website but am still no wiser. I just want to edit clips put them together add music and once her movie has been created burn it - there is so much out there so many versions I don't want to be buying the most expensive deluxe software that I will probably never need. I have windows 7 64 bit
